One of the most difficult things for a free-lancer/contractor to do is work for themselves. It's important to do that work, but actually sitting down and making it happen - drag feet, pull teeth. Such was the case for FeralBeagle.com. In my own defense, I did get caught up in a standard job for a couple of years, and that took up some of my time. Since that was a web design job, I didn't feel much like doing more web design when I returned home. But, really, I needed to sit down and do this. So I made a New Year's resolution and stuck to it.

With all the updates to this site and other sites we work on, I forget to update here about our activities. Back in late December/early January, we completed a major upgrade to the Porteco Lighting website. It turned out to be a very enjoyable undertaking (no really!), so I will outline what we did.
So, we've added more content and actually have a real "Internet Development" page up. Chris did the layout, and I think he did a wonderful job. I currently have some sound clips to format and compress. Keep an eye on our "Audio" page, they should be up soon! In other news, I just finished work on www.donmsmithphotography.com. There are bound to be a few tweaks on the site here and there, but I feel it's a good update. There were a few criteria the site needed to fill.
Well now, it has been over a year now since we started this adventure. This website is also nearing its one year anniversary. It has been a crazy year. Losing data in the database at the previous host, having to change hosts, new host going down because of fires in Southern California, the business actually physically moving. It has been a bit of a whirlwind. But we have learned a lot too (like who is not a good web host if you want to do a Drupal site).
So, I haven't been posting as much as I should here. It's very easy to get caught up in the day-to-day and forget to tell people where we're at.
There are some new items in the audio and video sample sections. As we dig up more, they will get posted. I believe the posted examples are great samples of our work though. We also have fully fleshed out the home page slide show as well. We expect that these images will change from time to time to reflect our most current work.
In other news:
So here it is, our website in all of its glory. Well, almost. We still don't have anything up on our audio and internet development sections. Getting together the content for these has taken longer than we expected. We're also a bit detailed oriented (read - nitpicky). But, we wanted to have our website live, so we went for it. Please, if you are thumbing through the site and see a problem, tell us! Just use our handy-dandy "Contact Us" page.
